Pocket Casts: Podcast Player Reviews: What Users Really Think

Longtime user of many years. Across many devices. In the last 12-24 months Pocket Casts has become just broken enough to be annoying enough that I uninstalled it for the native Podcast app. Almost every day there’d be issues with pressing play and nothing happening. Or the cast would start ticking…

Unintuitive to use and a real headache if you're used to an actually decent podcast app like Podcast Addict. Search/discover function is unusable and only ever displays the same 20-30 shows. I had been meaning to switch to something else for a while because of all the issues with it. Finding out thi…

I loved it. That's why I paid for it. But then there was suddenly a sync issue that even customer support couldn't fix. So I canceled my subscription and now I’m am on the hunt for a new app again

What happened to the dark mode version of icons? So many (including the default one) just revert to the white one instead of actually functioning. Hasn’t worked for a year now, and it’s not just me.

La app no sincroniza con la web (antes sí lo hacía). Creo que ha venido a menos.

One of the best podcasting apps, even without subscribing to « Plus ». Some features I’d like to have if any dev is reading this: - choose the sort order when adding multiple episodes to a playlist. Right now it’s by date, newest first and I prefer my playlists oldest first - add a text criteria to …

I love this app! It’s amazing. I can import any audio file I like and audiobooks 🙂 One small thing I think would be great for this app is PLAYLISTS. My Monday morning podcasts all in one place. I like the idea of folders but Playlists would be a great addition and would change the way I see the app…

This app is great but please allow FOLDERS in Files. As it is right now there are a lot of files in the root folder on my app and it would greatly help with organisation.

I’ve tried multiple apps for podcasts. Only Pocket Casts matches my expectations. The app is instant, has a comprehensive UI, provides a good UX, has playlists and useful settings. One request: add the ability to change/upload a playlist picture.

i have no audio files downloaded and yet this 98 MB app is taking up 1 GB of space on my phone. it needs an option to wipe the cache in the “Documents & Data” without having to delete and reinstall the app.

App is great for being able to save different podcasts into customised folders, however it no longer supports chapters. Feel a little ripped off paying for upgraded version and not having chapters supported.

Für mich die wirklich beste Podcast App

This has been my favorite podcast app for a few years ago. It has every feature I always wanted, the ability to auto skip time in the beginning of each episode, archive old episodes, see the episode library in any order including oldest to newest. It just works.

Switching between web play and phone is amazing. Listen to it almost every day.
