Overcast Podcast App Reviews: What Users Really Think

I relied on Overcast for my podcasts, but I just updated to find it freezing on me consistently every time I launch it. Fortunately I have the OPML file for my podcasts so I don’t have to go trawling through another app trying to remember all my shows, but still a let-down. (Also, if the ‘automat…

Can be great but so frustrating as it never works or downloads episodes on Apple Watch. Delete for now!

Upgraded to latest phone and when I open it up it is in a permanent state of sync. Deleted it and redownloaded it and it is still sync-ing. Can’t even get into the contact us or feedback - because it is permanently syncing

I launch the app. I see my podcasts. Freeze.

Have had Overcast on my devices for many years, though I didn’t always rush to install new versions. Earlier this year I updated my phone, and immediately regretted it. That update has completely broken the app. Five months of updates later, it’s still utterly nonfunctional. The main screen is nea…

I don't typically write reviews, but feel compelled to for this one. Absolutely amazing -- above and beyond in its versatility, ease of use and friendly UI. There's one additional feature that I'd really love...and would be so thankful for! When looking at a specific podcast's episodes (list of "All…

The app is great and I have been using it for a decade. One major request, can there be added functionality to speed up a podcast to more than 3x please?

Overall great! Terrific interface and options. I do wish there was an action that I could use to import podcast subs from the Apple Podcasts app on iOS. Ironically I used an action with a competitor app to import podcast subs to it, then export them to a file and import that file into Overcast, whic…

This app desperately needs the ability to “select all” so that you can quickly archive episode. You do not want to listen to. If you have a large library that you need to quickly triage, this is not the app for you.

This is my most-used app, and it keeps getting better. It’s the only podcast app where the search, listing and playlist features work (close to) the way my mind wants to organize them. If I had one wish, it would be for the “Queue” playlist to override an individual show’s settings to delete unplaye…

I’ve been an Overcast user for years and years, it’s been my podcast player for most of my adult life and I have had a 5 star review on this bad boy since the beginning. I love this podcast player. I’m downgrading the review to a 3 though because lately the app feels like it’s become much buggier. …

Lags, freezes, and pretty much unusable on the newest iPhone, running the latest software

love it!

Overcast has been the best podcast player on iOS for a long time now. The dev is clearly a big podcast connoisseur themself, and Overcast has a well-tuned feature set that lets me listen exactly how I want to, with different inboxes prioritization, streaming, and re-run skipping. They were one of th…

This is the best podcast player on the market. I pay for the yearly subscription and it’s completely worth it. Recently they added a much needed customizable EQ and it works excellent.
