Bear - Markdown Notes Reviews: What Users Really Think

I’ve been using this app for over 3 years, I love it. It works just fine on Mac. Recently, I got a PC and I moved my workspace there. There is a webpage version of this app but it doesn’t sync right. I was writing on my PC yesterday for all night and I woke up today check the same file on my phone. …

I'm an otherwise happy paying subscriber of beer for the last nearly two and a half years, but the web app on Windows and Chrome just simply broken which does not sync. It made me lose two hours of my intense research. Shame on the developers for shipping such a useless web app which does not even s…

Sure it looks "clean" at first but it automatically adds markups that show every time you try to edit a word. So if you delete part of it you end up with bunch of asterisks to delete. That's not clean. Would prefer no markups at all. And having to pull up a secondary keyboard for every formatting ta…

The iPad app hasn’t been working properly since the introduction of iOS 26. At first, everything seems to work fine, but as soon as you do anything — like adding a photo or resizing the app on the screen — and then try to scroll, everything outside the screen disappears. The app becomes unusable and…

I would give it 5 stars if there was the ability to disable word wrap in code blocks and allow a sideways scroll. I do a lot of code snippets, but most lines are beyond the iPhone Pro Max screen width. Callouts could benefit from this as well. It would also be great if we could add or edit a CSS st…

Please add a new theme for free (black background on light letters), as a visually impaired person I have a hard time writing with the Dark Graphite. I would like them to add auto-completion in math operations and currency conversion like in the Apple Notes app. It's my default app, I've searched fo…

I love this app!! I love the different themes available, I love the live updates for the time of an entry, & I love the pin to top feature. I use this app for notes, to save links & package tracking numbers. I would like to suggest each entry show the day of the week, & the time. I also would like t…

✅I tried so many apps from start of sixth form upto university as this is the only one that isn’t visually overwhelming ✅ Good default font and option to use Apple Pencil for handwritten notes ✅ So many quick simple shortcuts ✅ Option to convert to word doc and pdf ✅ Easy to organise by hashtags …

It’s almost perfect, it won’t render math or PDFs or anything, it was working, the update broke it I love how it looks but the exporting and rendering are pretty fundamental and I feel like it should really be able to do more, like why not also have rich text as an option and if it’s only markdown …

Simple and uncluttered with very clean UI/UX.

I’m a big notes guy, and used to always just use the Notes app from Apple, but one day I needed to just scribble a drawing to get my point across and couldn’t do it, found this app and the rest is history. Everything from the super clean interface, to the quick and efficient way to jot down notes an…

Yıllardır birçok not uygulaması kullandım ama bazısı çok karışık bazısı kullanışsızdı. Bear ise tam istediğim gibi müthiş!
